Second Hand September

It’s no secret that we as a society are over consuming and I truly believe that a really easy way that we can make a difference is shopping for some bits second hand and I do think we are getting better making this change. It’s great to see Influencers and Content Creators showcasing their love for second hand items. Because the more they become ‘fashionable’ the more they become accessible.

So to finish off SecondhandSeptember, I thought a great way to celebrate the month would be to show you my top 5 favourite second hand finds, and share who and what inspires me.

1. Chanel Sunglasses £135, Vestaire Collective

tip: if you’re a new user, download the app and use WELCOME20 for £20 off your first purchase (min spend £100)

2. Film cameras
– Canon AV-1 CameraCancer Research Superstore) & Canon Lens (eBay) £30 each
– Olympus AF-10 – £35, Oxfam

3. Drinks Cabinet £40, Cancer Research Superstore
(my favourite item in my whole home and probably I’ve ever bought)

4. Fendi Baguette Bag £350 + customer fees, The Vintage Bar

note: based in Europe so check your custom regulations to avoided surprise fees

5. Clothes – I can’t decide which ones best so I thought I’d share a few

Top: Depop
Shirt: Levi from a vintage shop
Blazer: Vintage from a charity shop
Bikini: Originally White Fox, bought from Depop new with tag

Looking for a bit of inspiration, I love Natalie Glaze for fashion and furniture pieces, Lone Fox (Drew Scott) for all things home, and Danni Duncan + her brand Slow Muse!
